I was forced to go natural due to a scalp illness!

I can not explain to you the amount of suffering I had endured with my scalp. In 2010, I began to experience extreme scaling, blisters, scabs and dandruff. Every product I put on my scalp burned to the max. I endured headaches as well as dizziness after using certain products. I was sad and miserable. As a single parent I couldn’t afford to constantly buy over priced hair products that didn’t work. I thought I had no way out. After many misdiagnoses from the dermatologist and using so many chemical driven products. I took matters into my own hands.

The inspiration for this began in my own kitchen.

I would spend countless hours on YouTube, searching for solutions until my eyes could no longer bear it. Although my sister was a talented stylist, her expertise wasn’t in figuring out scalp issues at the time. The severity of my scalp issues often overshadowed the hairstyles. Given my busy schedule, I could not always make it to see her. Desperate for an all-natural solution, I began experimenting with various blends of butters, foods, and products to create something that would work for my specific needs.

Creating a Hair Product that Works Wonders

Being a single parent meant that I couldn’t afford the high-priced hair products that me and my daughter Yazmin needed. Determined to find a solution, I failed many times but did not give up. The countless hours continued researching and studying ingredients that could address scalp issues and improve hair health overall. It quickly became clear that many of the products on the market contained harsh ingredients that could exacerbate existing problems. Although doctors told me that my issues were caused by a scalp illness, I persisted in my research. Eventually, I developed a product that became my best-seller.

A Health-Focused Approach to Hair Care. Our formulas are chemical free and non cancerous agents. Harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, formaldehyde-releasing chemicals, oxidized para-phenylenediamine, and 4-aminobiphenyl which have been linked to cancer. They have also been linked to causing severe issues to the reproductive system. In addition, we don’t use sulfates or silicones in our products, as sulfates are excessively drying and can be damaging to the hair, and silicones don’t contribute to growthing and maintaining healthy hair.

A Journey into natural Beauty Products
All of our deep treatments are 100% plant-based. All of our complimentary products are natural and free of harsh chemicals. While I started developing them earlier, it wasn’t until 2017 that I felt confident enough to introduce them to the world. To ensure that I was well-versed in my craft, I completed my certification as a product formulator in 2018. Since then, I have continued to earn several other certifications including becoming Master Cosmetic Chemist.

Why the name “JADE VINES” Fascinated by the Beauty of Butterflies

From my very first logo, which incorporated the Jade Vines plant, to my second one, where two flowers were used to form a butterfly – I have always had a fondness for these delicate creatures. In fact, my name comes from one of the most beautiful flowers and insects in the world! For me, butterflies symbolize mystery, meaning, and transformation. They embody the essence of spiritual rebirth, change, hope, and the brevity of life. Their magnificent yet brief lifespan reminds us that life is short and that we must cherish every moment. Butterflies are not just beautiful; they are also a testament to the beauty that can emerge from a difficult start. They remind us that even when things seem hopeless, life can still transform into something beautiful.

A Flower Jade Vine: A Symbol of Beauty, Prosperity, and Empowerment

The flower, Jade Vine, is one of the most beautiful flowers in the world. It embodies an array of virtues, including love, growth, wealth, peace, and transformation, that can help shape who you are in life. For me, this flower represents a vision of how I want to help others on their journey toward beautiful fuller luscious hair and all around empowerment. It inspires me to be the best version of myself. It’s no wonder why I was drawn to this beautiful flower and its significance to my name. This hairline empowerment journey that I created is more than just a product line, it is a journey of self-discovery and progression. The butterfly and this plant is where the name originated from.
